Commitment

Accessibility Statement

Books should be readable by everyone. So should the website that sells them.

Last updated: 30 August 2026

Conformance

We aim for conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. The site is currently partially conformant, meaning most of the standard is met while some content is still being reviewed.

Measures we take

  • Semantic HTML with landmark regions and a single H1 per page.
  • A "Skip to content" link and full keyboard navigation with visible focus states.
  • Descriptive alt text on every book cover and image.
  • Colour contrast checked against AA thresholds for body and interface text.
  • Motion kept subtle and reduced automatically when your system requests reduced motion.
  • Responsive layouts that reflow to 320px without horizontal scrolling.

Known limitations

Some third-party cover artwork carries text baked into the image; the surrounding page always repeats that information as real text. Long catalog listings may take extra keystrokes to traverse.

Feedback

If you hit a barrier, tell us through the contact page and describe the page and what happened. We aim to respond within five business days and to fix confirmed issues promptly.
